The Director, Regional Medical Affairs – EMEA is a critical link between our Medical & Scientific Affairs team and commercial leaders in the region. This role maintains a collaborative, two‑way partnership with the Medical Affairs organization and regionalizes integrated medical plans within EMEA.
This role may be fully remote within the region, open for applicants across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional scientific and strategic collaborations to align EMEA research priorities with global product development, regulatory, and commercial needs.
- Build and manage strategic academic partnerships and channel high‑value investigator‑initiated research proposals into the global Medical Affairs organization.
- Support Value & Access with EMEA‑specific health economics, policy, and reimbursement insights for Beckman Coulter solutions.
- Develop and sustain influential KOL relationships across EMEA to drive scientific exchange and inform diagnostic innovation.
- Translate regional clinical insights into actionable guidance for product teams and support EMEA‑tailored education, evidence generation, and pre‑launch activities.
Essential Requirements
- Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with at least 9 years of Medical Affairs experience, including leadership roles in biotech, pharma, diagnostics, or medical devices.
- Broad or deep expertise across key therapeutic areas such as cardiometabolic, neurodegenerative, women’s health, or oncology.
- Proven strategic thinker with the ability to interpret regional healthcare trends and adapt global medical plans to regional scientific and business needs.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across matrixed organizations, fostering shared goals, transparent communication, and talent development.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, negotiation, and influencing skills, with experience in clinical research across academia, healthcare, life sciences, or medical technology.
Travel and Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time (domestic / international).
