Abouttherole
WithinourestablishedandhighlyregardedPrivateEquityPerformanceImprovementteam,anopportunityexistsforanOperationalDueDiligence(ODD)specialistattheDirectorlevel.TheopportunitywillallowyoutobebasedinourParisofficeoryoucanbebasedinourLondonofficebutmustallowforweeklytraveltoFrance.Wearelookingtohiresomeonewhohasasuccessfultrackrecordwithablendofoperationalandcommercialskills,anentrepreneurialapproachandnetworksacrosstheM&Acommunity.
Howyouwillcontribute
- Operationalduediligence,100-dayplanning,post-mergerintegrationandperformanceimprovement;
- Advisingandimplementingperformanceimprovementprogramsformajorcorporationsacrossawiderangeofindustrysectors;
- Evaluatingbothcostreductionandrevenueenhancementopportunities;
- Leadingthepost-acquisitionworktoensurethattheODDwasrealizedinfullandintheshortestpossibletime;
- Developingdetailedandrobustmethodologytoensurethattheinthefirst100daystotalclarityandownershipiscreatedthroughouttheorganization,aclearpathtodeliveringthegrowthandcostreductiondevelopedandtheidentifiedquickwinsdelivered;
- Encompassinginthe100-dayplanningprocessthemergeroftwoorganizationsforwhichaspecificmethodologyhasbeendeveloped;
- Supportdeliveryofprojectswithprivateequityownedbusinessestoassessopportunitiestoimprovetheirfinancial/operatingperformanceandimplementfindingsandrecommendations;
- Workwithprivateequityownedclientsthroughthefullspectrumofcomplexissuesthatariseinoperations,includingmanufacturing,supplychainmanagement,logisticsandpurchasing;
- Contributestronglytobusinessdevelopmentactivityincludingdevelopingsuccessfulpitchesandselling,onfromtheinitial“diagnostic”projectphaseintoimplementationwork;
- Initialrapiddiagnosticintoacompany'simmediateandfuturemajoroperationalissues,productprofitability,costbase,manufacturingprocessesandoptionsforperformanceimprovement;
- SupportingPEfirmstoensuretheirportfoliocompanieshavecredibleplansandtheabilitytoexecuteanddeliverthefinancialresultsrequired;
- Developingandimplementinganewoperatingplantoimprovethebusinessoperationalperformance.
SkillsandExperience
Essential:
- MusthaveextensiveknowledgeofOperationalDueDiligence(ideallyinaclient-sitefocuseddeliverymodel)inatoptierstrategyfirm,leadingspecialistand/ornicheadvisoryfirmor‘Big4’consultancy;
- Recent,relevantexperienceinInternationalOperations,includingmanufacturing,supplychainmanagement,purchasingandlogistics(ideallywithinretail,pharmaorbusinessservices);
- Arecenttrackrecordofsuccessfullydeliveringmajoroperationalduediligenceassignmentsatpreandpostdeal;
- MustbePrivateEquityIndustrySavvywithestablishedexperienceofworkingwithPrivateEquitybackedportfoliocompanies;
- ExperienceinoperationalKPIs,BalanceScoreCards,andareporting/reviewprocesstoensurecontinuousimprovementoftheoperationalperformanceofthebusiness;
- UnderstandandexecuteLEANproductionphilosophy;
- Leadholisticperformanceimprovementprojects,understandingdifferentkindsofProjectManagementOffice(PMO)tools;
- Musthaveanabilityandwillingnesstotravel(potentiallyfromDay1)toclientsites,acrosstheUK&Europeanregions,atshortnoticeaspartoftheworkingweek;
- ABachelor’sdegreefromanaccrediteduniversityisessential;
- Cleardeterminationtodeliverthelatestthinkinginpreandpostdealsolutions;
- FluencytoabusinesslevelinbothEnglishandFrenchisessential;
- Stronganalyticalskillsanddeepdiveanalysis;
- Apersuasiveandeffectivecommunicatorwhocanengageeffectivelywithleadershipteamsinpressuresituations.
