Abouttherole

WithinourestablishedandhighlyregardedPrivateEquityPerformanceImprovementteam,anopportunityexistsforanOperationalDueDiligence(ODD)specialistattheDirectorlevel.TheopportunitywillallowyoutobebasedinourParisofficeoryoucanbebasedinourLondonofficebutmustallowforweeklytraveltoFrance.Wearelookingtohiresomeonewhohasasuccessfultrackrecordwithablendofoperationalandcommercialskills,anentrepreneurialapproachandnetworksacrosstheM&Acommunity.

Howyouwillcontribute

• Operationalduediligence,100-dayplanning,post-mergerintegrationandperformanceimprovement;
• Advisingandimplementingperformanceimprovementprogramsformajorcorporationsacrossawiderangeofindustrysectors;
• Evaluatingbothcostreductionandrevenueenhancementopportunities;
• Leadingthepost-acquisitionworktoensurethattheODDwasrealizedinfullandintheshortestpossibletime;
• Developingdetailedandrobustmethodologytoensurethattheinthefirst100daystotalclarityandownershipiscreatedthroughouttheorganization,aclearpathtodeliveringthegrowthandcostreductiondevelopedandtheidentifiedquickwinsdelivered;
• Encompassinginthe100-dayplanningprocessthemergeroftwoorganizationsforwhichaspecificmethodologyhasbeendeveloped;
• Supportdeliveryofprojectswithprivateequityownedbusinessestoassessopportunitiestoimprovetheirfinancial/operatingperformanceandimplementfindingsandrecommendations;
• Workwithprivateequityownedclientsthroughthefullspectrumofcomplexissuesthatariseinoperations,includingmanufacturing,supplychainmanagement,logisticsandpurchasing;
• Contributestronglytobusinessdevelopmentactivityincludingdevelopingsuccessfulpitchesandselling,onfromtheinitial“diagnostic”projectphaseintoimplementationwork;
• Initialrapiddiagnosticintoacompany'simmediateandfuturemajoroperationalissues,productprofitability,costbase,manufacturingprocessesandoptionsforperformanceimprovement;
• SupportingPEfirmstoensuretheirportfoliocompanieshavecredibleplansandtheabilitytoexecuteanddeliverthefinancialresultsrequired;
• Developingandimplementinganewoperatingplantoimprovethebusinessoperationalperformance.

SkillsandExperience

Essential:

• MusthaveextensiveknowledgeofOperationalDueDiligence(ideallyinaclient-sitefocuseddeliverymodel)inatoptierstrategyfirm,leadingspecialistand/ornicheadvisoryfirmor‘Big4’consultancy;
• Recent,relevantexperienceinInternationalOperations,includingmanufacturing,supplychainmanagement,purchasingandlogistics(ideallywithinretail,pharmaorbusinessservices);
• Arecenttrackrecordofsuccessfullydeliveringmajoroperationalduediligenceassignmentsatpreandpostdeal;
• MustbePrivateEquityIndustrySavvywithestablishedexperienceofworkingwithPrivateEquitybackedportfoliocompanies;
• ExperienceinoperationalKPIs,BalanceScoreCards,andareporting/reviewprocesstoensurecontinuousimprovementoftheoperationalperformanceofthebusiness;
• UnderstandandexecuteLEANproductionphilosophy;
• Leadholisticperformanceimprovementprojects,understandingdifferentkindsofProjectManagementOffice(PMO)tools;
• Musthaveanabilityandwillingnesstotravel(potentiallyfromDay1)toclientsites,acrosstheUK&Europeanregions,atshortnoticeaspartoftheworkingweek;
• ABachelor’sdegreefromanaccrediteduniversityisessential;
• Cleardeterminationtodeliverthelatestthinkinginpreandpostdealsolutions;
• FluencytoabusinesslevelinbothEnglishandFrenchisessential;
• Stronganalyticalskillsanddeepdiveanalysis;
• Apersuasiveandeffectivecommunicatorwhocanengageeffectivelywithleadershipteamsinpressuresituations.

Desirable:

• MBAorfinancialqualificationpreferredbutnotrequired;
• AdditionalEuropeanlanguagesarealsohighlydesirable;
• Haveavariedcrosssectorbackgroundincludingtelecommunications,automotive,manufacturing,energy,retail,consumergoods,transport,businessservicesandhealthcare.
