Director of Technology

• Lead Payplug’s Engineering organization, comprising Heads of Engineering, Engineering Managers, and Platform teams
• Oversee Payplug’s entire application scope, covering payment acceptance, processing, and reporting to customers
• Organize the Engineering and Platform (infrastructure) departments in line with the company’s and Product’s needs
• Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and retention of engineering talent while staying within budget
• Develop the teams’ skills in methods and technologies
• Identify process improvements and efficiency gains
• Enable effective, high-quality delivery with the Head of Platform and the Head of Architecture
• Track cross-Squad and cross-Tribe initiatives and align resources with objectives
• Collaborate on architecture with the Architect, Platform teams, and Product team
• Facilitate the integration of technical teams into the Product process, particularly during discovery
• Represent the departments under your responsibility in leadership meetings and strategic discussions
• Ensure a high level of software and service quality across Payplug’s products

Requirements

• More than 15 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience working within a SaaS organization
• Strong preference for experience in an e-commerce company or ecosystem
• Proven experience managing managers in Software Engineering
• Passion for software engineering, development team productivity, and quality
• Ability to work effectively with teams and cross-functional groups
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Passion for strategy and innovation
