Who you are
The CIEE France BridgeUSA Director will develop, formalize, and execute a go‑to‑Market Strategy for CIEE in France to grow and develop CIEE’s direct presence in the market and secure sales for Professional Exchanges (Intern and Trainee). The Director of France will work with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to determine the strategic approach to the market on a product-by-product basis. The Director will act as the primary representative and liaison between CIEE and the French market promoting CIEE BridgeUSA programs that bring exchange visitors to the U.S. They will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of CIEE’s Inbound Exchanges Division within the French market.
The Director plays a key role in identifying business opportunities and ensuring the overall success of sales and marketing initiatives and establishing standards and practices for the company’s brand and growth in the marketplace. Additionally, they will be responsible for building, leading and managing sales teams, overseeing marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals France and drive revenue growth.
What you’ll do
The Director will be responsible for achieving annual program sales goals and long-term business development objectives for all Inbound Exchange programs related to the French market. Specifically:
- Develop and execute a go-to-Market-Strategy for CIEE in France to grow direct sales for Interns and Trainees.
- Establish CIEE’s direct presence in France and secure sales for Professional Exchanges.
- Recommend strategic approach to the market on a product-by-product basis.
- Primary representative and liaison between CIEE and France market promoting CIEE BridgeUSA programs.
- Create business opportunities to achieve goals and ensure the success of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Implement CIEE standards and practices to establish brand and position CIEE for growth in the marketplace.
- Build, lead and manage the French team as it develops.
- Help create and implement marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends.
- Aggressively drive sales by engaging and supporting CIEE’s presence in the region.
- Work with the VP to research and identify market opportunities for CIEE programs.
- Analyze and report on sales data to identify trends to help inform departmental and market strategies.
- Focus on activities to drive sales and track progress towards overall sales targets ensuring the timely completion of applications as well as marketing/business development activities.
- Identify areas of risk, as well as opportunity, to ensure budget targets are met or exceeded.
- Be the main representative of CIEE within the French market and maintain strong relationships with the US and French embassies.
- Willingness to take on new projects and duties as assigned by the Vice President.
Core Responsibilities
French office management including product sales & marketing, operations, financial responsibilities, and project development. Responsible for all lines of business especially Intern and Trainee.
Key Projects
- Work collaboratively with head office’s operations and sales teams to plan BridgeUSA programs.
- Develop and leverage external partnerships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and universities for Intern and Trainee programs.
- Work closely with the CIEE product owners to help define the respective product sales and marketing strategies.
- Liaise regularly with CIEE’s operations manager to ensure applicants are receiving the highest level of customer service from CIEE.
- Work closely and regularly with the Hiring Events Team and International Operations Team.
- Monthly reports with Finance.
- Receive updates from the International Sales team via emails, and reach out to the team as needed.
- Actively seek resources and assistance as needed.
- Develop relationships with government agencies, host companies, and universities.
Tools and Technologies

- Official social media accounts as customer service tools as needed in collaboration with local resources.

- Provide the best services to our participants.
- Gain market share to achieve 100% of annual targets by end of each fiscal year.
What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for this position. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, marketing, and international business development.
Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10-15 years of hands‑on sales and marketing experience in the French market including strategic marketing, program/project management, brand/content development, and staff management.
- Proven track record of success in senior sales and marketing roles within the international education sector preferred.
- Experience managing a sales reporting environment using a CRM system and reporting. Expert at seeing sales figures, communicating them to the team, and leading the best course of action.
- Experience contributing to the strategic direction of a business line with an eye to sales and marketing but also informing product, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of British education trends, cultural nuances, and regulatory considerations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on building and motivating high‑performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Location Requirements
This Position is available in France. Applicant must have the authorization to work in France.
