Director of Laser Development (m/f/d)
What you can expect in the role of Director of Laser Development?
- As part of the management committee and reporting directly to the company President, you will develop appropriate laser solutions for our main markets of quantum technologies and industrial laser metrology, working in close collaboration with various internal stakeholders
- Director of Laser Innovation who is coordinating long term laser technology research with the LP2N joint laboratory
- Fiber Laser and Amplifier Product Manager for market requirements and business plans
- Director of Operations and Laser Industrialisation Manager for compatibility with production methods, processes and regulatory requirement
- R&D leaders at our sister companies around the world for joint product development projects
- Management and coaching of a laser development team of 6 engineers and technicians
- Management and coaching of an electronics and mechanical design team (5 people)
- Strategic planning for laser technology development and management of the product roadmap
- Ensuring efficient project management over all group activities (time, budget, and deliverables)
- Budget and resource planning for next generation laser development activities
Must-haves: What you’ll need for this role?
- Proven professional track record, with ideally more than 10 years of experience in laser and/or photonics development in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to bring high-quality products to market
- Capacity to manage, motivate and develop an interdisciplinary technical team
- Expertise in project planning, execution and delivery
- Clear communication in English and French
