Director, Cash Management Sales (France, Belgium)
Overview
This is a senior sales role based in Paris, responsible for driving Cash Management engagement across a broad portfolio of clients including corporates, funds and insurance with a focus on selling Payments, Transactional FX, Card Issuing and Liquidity solutions. The role will focus on domestic sales activity as well as coordinating cross‑border opportunities and collaborating closely with colleagues across our global booking centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic direction for sales, implementing up-to-date methodologies and processes.
- Manage sales activities, oversight of colleagues and their performance, and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
- Maintain effective relationship management of sales stakeholders, identifying relevant stakeholders and ensuring quality of external third‑party services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for sales.
- Manage sales risk, identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and align sales with compliance functions.
- Monitor financial performance of sales department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
- Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions and support strategic initiatives.
- Co‑ordinate resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for the sales function.
- Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/business divisions.
- Serve as spokesperson for the function and business division.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a strong sales mindset, confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, credibility in technical discussions and ability to influence outcomes. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Solid technical knowledge in liquidity management, payments solutions, and the regulatory frameworks shaping the industry.
- Strong grasp of innovation trends, including AI trends in treasury and emerging digital asset capabilities.
- Prior experience in Transactional FX is an advantage.
- Intellectual curiosity, quick learning capability, strong analytical judgement, and clear structured thinking.
- Experience thriving in a matrix organisation and strong stakeholder management.
