Director of Business Programs

Based at the Paris Campus, the Director provides academic leadership for Schiller International University's undergraduate and graduate Business programs across all campuses. The role includes ensuring academic excellence, curriculum quality, faculty performance, and student success within the Business discipline. The Director also leads academic programs at the Paris Campus, overseeing program design, curriculum development, course content, syllabi, assessment, and continuous improvement processes to meet U.S. accreditation standards, local regulatory requirements, and dual‑degree partner expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and continuously improve Business program curriculum.
  • Recruit, develop, evaluate, and support faculty teaching Business courses across campuses.
  • Collaborate with Associate Deans, Directors from other academic areas, and the Paris Campus Director to ensure consistency in academic standards and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in the assessment of program and course learning outcomes for Business and other academic areas.
  • Encourage innovation in teaching and learning methodologies and educational technology, in partnership with the Educational Technology team and industry professionals.
  • Conduct faculty performance evaluations and course observations, both online and onsite.
  • Collaborate with the Educational Technology team to offer faculty development activities.
  • Coordinate with the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness to ensure program quality and compliance with all regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Work with the Director of Student Services to identify students at risk and support their retention and success.
  • Collaborate with the Employability team to boost students' employability and success.
  • Implement VLE templates and uniform content across Business offerings.
  • Manage faculty workload and assignment in collaboration with other academic leaders.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Provost, President, or Campus Director.

Qualifications

  • Earned Doctorate degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated excellence in higher education administration and industry experience.
  • Expertise in academic program design, review, and faculty and staff management.
  • Knowledge of online instruction and virtual learning environments.
  • Knowledge of the American and/or French higher education systems is a plus.
  • Native English speaker or proficiency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is desirable.
