Context:

On behalf of an innovative, commercial-stage company, we are seeking a Business Development Director. Joining the BD team, you will be primarily responsible for technology evaluation collaborations, product/technology out-licensing, and co-development partnerships. Your role will focus on two major areas: partnering activities and early-stage alliance management.

Your Responsibilities:

• Partnering Activities:

  • Support and mentor BD managers in their search, evaluation, and outreach efforts.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute feasibility agreements, licensing, and co-development transactions in close collaboration with legal and IP teams.
  • Drive and coordinate due diligence with internal stakeholders, ensuring a seamless transition to alliance management for post-deal partnerships.
  • Represent the company at key partnering, scientific, and investor conferences, and maintain alignment across teams via the CRM dashboard.

• Early Alliance Management:

  • Ensure feasibility study contract compliance and coordinate internal cross-functional alignment.
  • Manage the partner alliance during the early phase to foster relationship growth, knowledge management, and business value.

Profile Required:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life sciences field. A business degree (MBA) is a plus.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of business development experience within the Pharma/Biotech industry, with a proven track record of identifying new opportunities and closing complex agreements.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of non-clinical, CMC, clinical, and regulatory development processes. Proficient in market assessments and business case development.
• Soft Skills: Energetic, results-driven, self-motivated team player with the ability to think strategically and analytically. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction. Fluent English is required.
