Vienne Condrieu Agglomération invites applications for the position of Director of the Economic Development Direction (ref: 06‑PAP‑2026‑ECO).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and evaluation of strategies decided by elected community members.
  • Provide real‑time monitoring and analysis of technical, financial, and human resources required to execute projects.
  • Propose and optimize economic and tourism development actions for the Agglomeration.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to design, propose, and execute initiatives that favor economic development and employment, acting as the primary interlocutor for elected officials.
  • Manage the economic agency composed of five staff members and steer its activities.
  • Coordinate the agency’s administrative and financial management.
  • Contribute to collective actions and smartly animate the agency’s development strategies.
  • Collaborate with the broader executive team during the setup of the new executive and the structuring of the Attractiveness and Proximity Pole.
  • Participate as a member of the extended governing committee, influencing managerial policy and attraction strategies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Bac +5) in economic development, territorial development, or urban planning, with relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of economic development, employment, and tourism dynamics.
  • Knowledge of local government operations and key partners.
  • Environmental sensitivity and awareness of local development policies.
  • Proficient in team management and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Project management capability for transversal initiatives.
  • Strong relational aptitude, discretion, and organizational sense.
  • Adaptability, active listening, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Service‑public commitment and engagement.
