As an Associate Director – Mechanical Engineering (Directeur Associé – Ingénierie Mécanique), you'll have the opportunity to lead the delivery of some of the continent's most significant hyperscale and colocation data centre developments while influencing technical strategy, client relationships, and team growth. You'll work alongside industry‑leading clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing direction on complex mechanical systems that underpin critical digital infrastructure. From concept design and technical assurance through to project delivery and client engagement, your expertise will help drive quality, innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects. What's in It For You Strategic Leadership & Regional Impact You'll play a key role in the leadership of major data centre programmes across France and Europe, providing direction on complex mechanical engineering challenges while helping to shape the growth and development of our Paris operation (Agence Paris). Client Influence & Trusted Partnership You'll work directly with some of the industry's most influential developers, operators, and investors, acting as a trusted adviser (Partenaire de Confiance) and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles. Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions that improve resilience, efficiency, sustainability, and long‑term operational performance. Technical Excellence & Innovation Working at the forefront of mission‑critical engineering, you'll provide technical leadership across complex mechanical systems including cooling plant, chilled water systems (Eau Glacée), HVAC (CVC – Chauffage, Ventilation et Climatisation), ventilation strategies, heat rejection systems, and fire protection infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical standards, design methodologies, and engineering best practice across some of Europe's most advanced facilities. Strong understanding of cooling strategies, HVAC systems (CVC), chilled water infrastructure, heat transfer, energy efficiency, and resilience requirements within mission‑critical environments. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex engineering projects across multiple stakeholders. Strong commercial awareness with experience managing client relationships, supporting business development activities (Développement Commercial), and contributing to project profitability. Thorough understanding of relevant French and European regulations, standards, and industry best practice including NF, EN, ISO, RE2020, and ASHRAE requirements. Chartered or professionally registered status is highly desirable.
