Job Overview

We are seeking a Cutting Tool Specialist to drive sales and growth. The role requires outside sales experience and a solid understanding of cutting tools. The position involves local travel within Michigan with potential national travel.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with American manufacturers and suppliers.
• Update and expand technical support documentation (e.g., speeds and feeds tables, machining processes, tooling recommendations).
• Statistically analyze product and sales data to identify profitable categories and support new product development.
• Determine marketing and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with marketing to segment and promote product brands or categories.
• Ensure accurate presentation of product lines, including images, technical specifications, and descriptions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cutting tool technical applications.
• Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
• Outside sales experience.
• Excellent communication, self‑motivation, personality, organization, and ability to work independently and with a team.

Preferred

• Knowledge of cutting tool materials and coatings.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
