What are we looking for?

As a Digital Marketing Executive serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, you will play a vital role in driving the resort’s digital and marketing initiatives across all platforms. Working closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, you will assist in executing strategies that enhance brand visibility, strengthen the resort’s online presence, and support revenue growth across all business areas including Food & Beverage, Spa, Recreation, and Rooms.

Your role focuses on digital marketing, content creation, social media management, website optimization, SEO, and campaign execution, while also supporting broader marketing communications that align with the resort’s positioning and Hilton’s brand standards.

What will I be doing?

  • Support the development and execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns across social media, website, and email platforms.
  • Manage and update resort content across digital channels including the website, Google Business Profile, and OTAs to ensure accuracy and engagement.
  • Assist in implementing SEO and content strategies to increase online visibility and improve search rankings.
  • Monitor social media platforms daily, engaging with audiences, identifying opportunities for storytelling, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Plan, create, and maintain a detailed monthly social media content calendar to ensure consistent storytelling and alignment with brand campaigns.
  • Coordinate with creative teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing content, photography, and video production.
  • Assist in developing paid and organic social media campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and bookings.
  • Support with eCommerce-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with Hilton’s digital marketing guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly reports on digital performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to promote special offers, events, and resort experiences through digital channels.
  • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials, newsletters, and in-house promotions as required.
  • Maintain a well-organized media and asset library including photography, video, and design templates.
  • Support internal and external communication activities including content development, press releases, and media coordination as needed.
  • Ensure all digital and offline marketing materials adhere to brand tone, design, and communication standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including budget tracking, purchase orders, and departmental reports.

What do I need?

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Luxury Hotel / Resort experience.
  • Proficient level of written and verbal English.
  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Opera and Delphi.
  • Positive attitude and good communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Marketing or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate in additional key business languages is an advantage.
  • Training or qualifications in creative, descriptive, or effective content writing.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing disciplines, including developing and executing marketing plans and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong skills in budget management, project coordination, and time management.
