Overview

Engineering Method and Tools for MBSE (m/f) – Airbus Helicopters, Marignane. Join the Engineering Enablers – ETE department to set up foundations enabling Engineering to reach the highest efficiency and provide added value to customers by deploying, guiding, and improving portfolios of Tools, Solutions and Ways of Working. As part of the Digital Methods & Tools team within the DDMS (Digital for Design Manufacturing & Services) SQUAD, you will contribute to developing Methods and Tools to enable MBSE integration, model-based system optimization for architecture/missions loops, and end-to-end product development. This role reinforces the link between physical simulation (CAE & Multiphysics) and system architecture design, ensuring digital continuity from Requirements to System Modeling (MOFTL framework) with software & avionics management (ALM) to Electrical design integration (Pin2Pin).

This position offers the opportunity to develop new skills within Airbus Helicopters and the Method & Tools department. Airbus Helicopters is accelerating its digital transformation; you will contribute to improving the current digital environment for the System Engineering community and strengthen the link with simulation capabilities to support early trade-offs. The role is suitable for candidates with MBSE skills who want to develop simulation knowledge or those with simulation skills who wish to engage in MBSE activities. A security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities is required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up user coaching (materials and operations) for methodologies with MBSE as input for predictive simulations and Weight&Balance.
  • Drive tool support activities for the different layers of the MBSE landscape, including integration with simulation.
  • Be the focal point for Airbus Helicopters Engineers to ensure seamless digital integration of processes and methods for MBSE model validation, change, reuse, and systems of systems concepts.
  • Participate in group projects/initiatives such as DDMS (digital continuity transformation) especially for MBSE as input for parametric predictive simulations.
  • Collaborate with experts from different engineering métiers (architects, Weight & Balance, safety, mission systems, simulation) from AH or Airbus Group.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of MBSE approaches (including parametric and ontology-based methods) for vehicle architecture or mission equipment trade-off studies.
  • Experience with an MBSE tool (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, Capella, MagicDraw, CATIA Magic, IBM Rhapsody) and/or a simulation tool (MATLAB/Simulink). Familiarity with SysML and metamodels for multiprogram applicability is advantageous.
  • Experience in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) or in collaborative projects (SE/MBSE and simulation).
  • Language skills: English – Advanced; French – Fluent.
