DevSecOps Engineer

Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data. Operators of transportation hubs like airports and train stations, as well as sports venues, road infrastructures and industrial sites, can now access accurate and anonymous Spatial Intelligence data to improve operations, increase user safety and satisfaction.

Context

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Cyber Security Operations Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in protecting our infrastructure, customer data, and proprietary systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Threat Detection & Incident Response
   • Monitor and Analyze: Actively monitor security alerts via SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
   • Triage and Response: Serve as the primary handler for security incidents, investigate indicators of compromise, contain threats, and lead remediation efforts.
   • Forensics: Perform root cause analysis on security breaches or near‑misses to prevent recurrence.
2. Security Infrastructure Management
   • Build Security infrastructure: Define architecture and select tools.
   • Tool Maintenance: Configure and upgrade firewalls (NGFW), endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, and DLP systems.
   • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scanning, analyze results, and coordinate patching schedules.
   • Access Control: Oversee IAM policies and enforce least privilege across cloud and on‑prem environments.
3. Automation & Engineering
   • Scripting: Write Python or Bash scripts to automate repetitive security tasks and incident response actions.
   • Integration: Integrate security tools into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps) and support software supply‑chain audit and monitoring.
4. Compliance & Reporting
   • Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date security architecture, incident response plans, and playbooks.
   • Audit Support: Assist in gathering evidence for SOC2, ISO 27001, TISAX, and other compliance audits.
   • Metrics: Generate reports on security KPIs for management review and customer reports.

Qualifications

1. Required Technical Skills
   • 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Network Operations, or System Administration with a security focus.
   • SIEM Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Wazuh, Splunk and integration with AWS services.
   • Endpoint Security: Experience managing EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike.
   • Cloud Security: Working knowledge of AWS cloud security principles, including Security Groups, IAM, and CloudTrail/CloudWatch.
   • Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and network traffic analysis (Wireshark).
2. Soft Skills & Attributes
   • Problem Solver: Remain calm and analytical under pressure during live incidents.
   • Communicator: Explain technical security risks to non‑technical stakeholders and customers.
   • Collaborator: Work effectively with DevOps and Engineering teams.
3. Education & Certifications
   • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
   • Certifications in cloud security are a plus.
