What We Do. At Terabase Energy, we believe that digitalization and automation will drive the next wave of innovation and cost reduction in large scale solar. Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform to support the design, optimization, and construction of massive solar projects around the world. Our team blends solar-industry veterans and newcomers, including engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, sales, and marketing professionals. Terabase Energy is a well-funded scale-up headquartered in Berkeley, California, with several offices worldwide, including a new one in Paris. Our Paris office will host our future core R&D team for Construct, a B2B SaaS construction management and quality control platform for utility-scale solar projects. Construct combines GIS, AI/ML, IoT, and mobile technologies to improve safety, quality, cost, and schedule for the solar industry. Construct has supported more than 16 GW of projects from leading owners and EPCs.

Role

Terabase\'s DevOps is a member of the Software Platform & Applications Team, reporting to the Head of Software Platform & Applications. As a member of this team you will work, learn, and grow in Terabase\'s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. Successful candidates will be highly capable in adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, problem solving, pro-activity, collaboration, operating in a dynamic environment, and dedication to accelerating the decarbonization of the global economy by utilizing digital and automation technology to reduce the cost of utility-scale solar. The Software Platform and Applications team is a full-stack team responsible for designing, building, releasing, and supporting features for Construct, our flagship SaaS product. The team also owns internal-facing projects and programs to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and developer experience across Terabase teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, release, and support features for the Construct platform.
• Own internal-facing projects and programs that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and developer experience across Terabase teams.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams in the United States and with external software development partners in Belgrade, Serbia.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years\' experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles
• BS in Computer Science
• Design/development/testing experience delivering complex software/digital product solutions into commercial/industrial projects
• Proficiency in cloud-hosted software environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – we are primarily an AWS shop
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby
• Proficiency in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) concepts and techniques
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation tools
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar platforms
• FinOps experience
• Ability to work remotely and with distributed teams in various time zones
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
• Understanding of and experience in unit testing and test-driven development
• Solid understanding of agile workflow management process and software product lifecycle
• Good understanding of gitflow source code management development techniques and process

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science or equivalent academic/industry experience/training
• Expertise in cybersecurity
• Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
• Knowledge of database administration and performance tuning
• Startup company experience with building new products and accessing new markets
