Where would you fit in the team?

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be key in scaling and maintaining SpendHQ’s multi‑cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with Product, Development, QA, Data, Client Success, and DevOps teams to support iterative releases, hotfixes, security norms, enforce SDLC best practices, and ensure a secure, compliant, and high‑performing and available environment.

What will your job entail?

• Build, maintain, and operate GCP infrastructure (Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Build, Cloud Storage, networking, and more).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, scheduled tasks, and operational processes (CircleCI, Codefresh as reference).
• Collaborate across teams (Product, Development, QA, Data, Client Success, and DevOps) to deliver iterative releases following SDLC best practices.
• Maintain and secure platform services (PostgreSQL, Redis, Rails, SSL, Ubuntu/Linux instances) with backups, disaster recovery, and secrets management.
• Monitor and optimize systems for performance, reliability, security, and observability.
• Support compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, and other standards) with proper controls, audit logging, and documentation.
• Continuously improve automation, tools, and processes to ensure security, quality, and efficiency.

What experience and skills do you need to succeed?

• 3 or more years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with GCP and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker) and infrastructure as code.
• Experience creating and maintaining platform services (PostgreSQL, Redis, Rails, SSL, Ubuntu/Linux instances) with backups, disaster recovery, and secrets management.
• Experience with creating, updating, and following infrastructure monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure performance, reliability, and observability.
• Experience in compliance / security‑driven environments (SOC 2, ISO, GDPR) with audit processes and documentation (preferable or proven skills).
• Experience in Agile SDLC environments with iterative release practices.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) as the primary working language. Proficiency in French is a plus for the ideal candidate.

The role reports directly to our DevOps Manager in Lyon and is based at our EMEA headquarters in Lyon, France.
