Design Studio - Industrial Designer Project Manager (F/M)
Job Description
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Industrial Designer (f/m) to join our Design Studio based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing cabin interior solutions within Airbus Industrial requirements. As part of the Design Studio, you will be involved in Airline interior concept definition aiming at securing Aircraft deliveries on time and quality.

Your Challenges
- You will report directly to our design studio Leadership team for Project allocation and deliverables incl development on the job.
- Planning and managing the design from conception to completion, from initial brief, design development, CMF (Colors, Material and Finish) innovation and specification, tendering for all our worldwide customers through Airbus industrial process – Key challenge as well to keep adherence to project milestones.
- Managing & following up of customised design projects within a multi-cultural team while dealing with customers (airlines) worldwide on a daily basis.
- To work collaboratively with other Airbus Departments, understanding their needs, but constantly championing the customer.
- Knowledge on 3D tools and any kind of visual making a difference during design concept phase is a must.
- Create high quality presentation materials that communicate the design intent at any phase in a project.
- Bring new way of thinking, creative ideas, and way of working to strengthen our design studio approach – Contribute to the evolving design culture and process in our Toulouse and Hamburg Design studio.
- Be a contributor of the Design Studio Strategy implementation which aims to bring value to Airbus and our Customers.
Your Boarding Pass
- Previous experience working in one or more of the following design fields – industrial, product, airline, automotive, architectural, interior colour, material and finish – Positive mind‑set who always tries to innovate and bring creative way of thinking.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant design field (Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field etc.).
- Design experience in either CMF, Lighting, concept, Industrial Design is mandatory.
- Knowledge of project management would be a plus.
- Rendering.
- Fluent in relevant software (Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office, etc.), tools, materials and manufacturing processes – Knowledge of InDesign Key and CAD software eg KeyShot, Solidworks, Blender, Rhino, etc. are a plus.
- Exceptional visual, communication, and presentation skills.
- The ability to work seamlessly across functions.
- Team work orientated, attitude to work within a team, problem‑solving attitude, autonomous and proactive – You can manage your workload and operate as well individually.
- Able to travel to shows and suppliers both domestically and internationally worldwide.
