Alan is a health insurance company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. It partners with 40,000+ companies, serves more than 1 million members, and has reached €800M+ in annual recurring revenue. The company operates across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada, with a team of 1,000+ people, and is building what it describes as the new standard in prevention insurance.

The role

This position sits within Alan's Design and Research (D&R) community, the group responsible for everything members see and use. The community is growing quickly, and AI is changing how the team works. The role exists to help the community move faster without lowering quality standards. You are not a designer or researcher yourself; you are the person who enables the community to perform better as the member base grows. You will work closely with the community lead and collaborate with engineering, Product Ops, and platform teams.

What you would do

  • Test new AI tools and automations, identify the ones that genuinely save time or improve quality, and share the best findings with the community.
  • Work with Alan's internal AI tooling teams to bring the most current capabilities to design and research workflows.
  • Build skills, agents, and automated checks that make design and research work more efficient, reliable, and higher quality.
  • Maintain and upgrade the tools the community relies on, and act as the point of contact with Alan's platform and agentic teams.
  • Introduce better practices and rituals, push existing ones further, and help communicate what the team learns and achieves internally and externally.
  • Own a roadmap: identify opportunities, prioritise solutions, set clear goals, track adoption and quality, and adjust as you go.

What they are looking for

  • Around 4 years of experience in ops or enablement roles such as design ops, tooling, automation, analytics, or program management.
  • Hands‑on experience replacing repetitive tasks with automations, internal tools, or AI workflows (no-code, low-code, or AI tools), with concrete examples of what you built and who used it.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, including building or testing skills, agents, or automations, with a focus on reliability rather than demo impressiveness.
  • Comfort working alongside engineers: able to build things yourself, know when to ask for production‑grade work, and communicate in technical terms.
  • Experience supporting a team or community through onboarding, rituals, events, or internal communications.
  • Strong English communication skills; French is a plus.
  • Nice to have: experience in or alongside a design or research team, and familiarity with Figma and design systems.
  • Personal qualities: builder and strategic mindset, rigour in setting baselines and iterating, systems thinking, sound judgment on ambiguous problems, and clear communication.

Working arrangements

The role is hybrid, based in or within commuting distance of one of Alan's hubs: Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona. You would be expected to work onsite twice per week. Alan prefers candidates who already have the right to work in the relevant location. The role is listed across multiple cities in France, Belgium, and Spain.
