Design Appraisal Engineer
Location: Lyon, France.

Requirements
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of specialist requirements, knowledge, and application.
- Proficient in the design and construction of pressure equipment and pressure systems in accordance with PED (2014/68/EU).
- Experienced in creating and using P&IDs, equipment lists, and line lists.
- Preferably experienced in using Hazop studies and reports (IEC61882).
- Preferably experienced in case determination and relief calculations of Pressure Safety Valves (API and or EN).
- Preferably experienced in using Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511).
- Proficiency in French is required.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, corresponding with the work.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform complex assessments and provide specialist advice, solutions, and training to internal and external clients within agreed parameters, including budget constraints and contractual requirements.
- Produce deliverables within agreed parameters in an appropriate format.
- Review and monitor other employees’ work as requested.
- Assess and recommend the time/value of work for external clients within agreed fee/cost structures and commercial contract aspects.
- Issue quotations up to an agreed limit in line with company standard terms and conditions (e.g., commercial notice).
- Discuss deliverables with internal and external clients at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
- Contribute to client management by acting as a point of contact to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
