Job Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Deputy to the Head of Propulsion Industrial &Quality Business Support for Primary Flight Controls. This role is part of the Propulsion Supply Chain &Quality team based in Toulouse, France.

The Deputy reports operationally and functionally to the Head of the team.

Employment Type: Permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team by driving global business performance and mid‑term priorities.
  • Represent the team in various forums and replace the Head of the team when required.
  • Capture the main actions, monitor them through to closure, and manage communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Improve the performance of the team’s global operating system by defining and clarifying processes, roles, and tools.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops for the team or with other functions to address specific issues.
  • Participate directly in the team dynamic, run the team organisation and people review with the Ho PIPX.
  • Guide and coach team members and push the team to identify and implement improvement actions.
  • Provide operational support in case of resource challenges and manage subcontracted activities.
  • Manage the team budget, identify needs and opportunities, and support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Anticipate risks that may impact the team’s activities and priorities, suggesting necessary changes.
  • Prioritise and arbitrate tasks, identify internal bottlenecks, and ensure solutions are defined.
  • Contribute to team strategy, People Risk and Opportunities, succession planning, People Development plan, and customer/stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of well‑being and engagement for the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the aerospace industry with a solid understanding of the propulsion environment.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Quality.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Leadership qualities: caring, influential, resilient, accountable, and a team spirit.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and comfort in cooperating within global, complex organisations.
  • Fluency in English (negotiation level).
