Deputy Head of Operations

Specialized headhunter in mid-level and executive positions is seeking, on behalf of a major international real estate fund, a Deputy Head of Operations.

This role is ideal for a high-potential real estate professional (5–8 years of experience) looking to take a significant step up, gain broad exposure to asset management and investment operations , and work closely with leadership on strategic topics..

Operational & Strategic Leadership

• Design, structure, and continuously improve operational frameworks supporting real estate investment and asset management activities .
• Act as a strategic operational partner to HQ, ensuring the effective local execution of global investment and asset strategies.
• Contribute to investment strategy execution , from acquisition support to asset optimization and value creation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership on portfolio strategy, asset performance, and long-term growth plans .

Asset Management & Performance

• Develop and oversee performance and financial models to optimize asset and portfolio returns.
• Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs related to asset performance, operations, and investment outcomes .
• Support decision-making through robust analysis of operational, financial, and asset-level data.
• Ensure operational alignment with investment theses, business plans, and exit strategies .
• Lead the planning and execution of complex real estate projects across cross-functional teams (asset management, investment, finance, legal, tech).
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and structure workflows to support scalable growth.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team , fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational excellence in day-to-day activities while maintaining a strong strategic perspective.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with senior internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment between operations, asset management, and investment objectives .
• Serve as a key interface between local teams and international decision-makers.

Your profile:

• 5–8 years of experience in the real estate sector , ideally within an investment fund, asset manager, or real estate platform .
• Strong background in asset management, real estate operations, and/or investment support .
• Proven experience in managing teams and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives/projects .
• Solid understanding of real estate investment cycles , asset performance drivers, and portfolio management.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or equivalent .
• Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities.
• Excellent communication, synthesis, and presentation skills.
• Full professional fluency in English ; Spanish proficiency would be an advantage.
