Overview
Our client is an independent European private equity group that supports the growth of mid-sized businesses and backs their management teams. The Group is looking for their future Deputy Fund CFO to support growth and strategic initiatives.Main responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of quarterly investor reports, including calculation and commentary on IRR, TVPI, DPI, and other KPIs;
- Manage recurring and ad hoc investor data requests in coordination with the Investor Relations team;
- Assist Investor Relations with maintaining and updating fund data rooms during fundraising and ongoing reporting cycles.
- Coordinate, review and challenge quarterly valuations of portfolio companies in accordance with IPEV guidelines, in partnership with investment teams;
- Assist investment teams with portfolio activity.
Fund Operations & Accounting Oversight
- Oversee and participate in fund accounting processes, NAV review, drawdowns and distributions;
- Act as key point of contact for central administrators, depositaries, auditors, legal and tax advisors;
- Provide backup support for fund accounting tasks as needed and ensure reliability and accuracy of financial information.
Process Optimization & Team Supervision
- Lead or support initiatives to automate portfolio monitoring and investor reporting processes;
- Supervise and review the work of colleagues in the middle office team.
Profile
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field;
- 10+ years of relevant experience including experience in a Private Equity firm, Family Office, or fund administrator with strong exposure to fund reporting and operations, and a solid foundation from a Big 4 audit firm or equivalent financial background;
- Management experience in a Big 4, including audit of PE/asset management firms and valuations;
- Proven ability to manage complex reporting processes, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and deliver under tight deadlines;
- Strong knowledge of fund performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI), financial accounting (French GAAP, IFRS), and ideally experience with Luxembourg fund structures;
- Practical experience or deep familiarity with IPEV valuation standards.
