Role Overview
As a Deployment Manager, you will be a key driver of Sonepar’s digital transformation journey, helping Operating Companies (OpCos) adopt Spark solutions and create business value. Working in a multicultural and agile environment, you will collaborate closely with OpCo leadership, Spark product streams and partners to deliver transformation programs that reshape the way we operate.
Key responsibilities include leading the deployment and adoption of Customer Experience (CX) and Associate Experience (AX) product portfolios, orchestrating transformation activities from initiation through post‑go‑live stabilization, and serving as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for OpCos.
Main Responsibilities
Assess and prepare OpCos for transformation
- Evaluate business readiness during the onboarding of new OpCos.
- Collaborate with local teams to define and execute action plans that establish the foundations required for Spark deployment.
- Lead activities during the Exploration phase to ensure organizational preparedness.
Define and execute transformation roadmaps
- Facilitate the Discovery phase and support OpCos in defining transformation objectives, priorities and success criteria.
- Build and drive high‑level and detailed action plans aligned with business goals and program milestones.
Establish effective governance
- Set up project governance structures and steering committees.
- Facilitate decision‑making processes and ensure clear accountability across stakeholders.
Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams
- Synchronize activities across Product, Integration, Data, Change Management, Training and other delivery streams.
- Ensure alignment, manage dependencies and deliver high‑quality outcomes on time.
Drive risk management
- Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks and issues throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Escalate critical topics and implement corrective actions when required.
Lead stakeholder communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OpCos regarding Spark products and adoption activities.
- Provide regular updates on progress, achievements, risks and decisions.
- Build trusted relationships with business leaders, project teams and partners.
Ensure successful post‑go‑live transition
- Prepare and execute handover to operational support teams.
- Establish post‑deployment processes, governance and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Manage dependencies across the organization
- Align with programs and teams outside Spark that may impact deployment plans, including ERP and other strategic initiatives.
- Co‑ordinate across the broader Sonepar ecosystem.
Success Criteria
Success means enabling OpCos to transform effectively while minimizing risks and maximizing business value. Projects should be delivered on time, within scope and according to the Spark transformation methodology, with strong stakeholder engagement and adoption.
Proactive leadership, the ability to bring diverse teams together, and turning complex transformation challenges into measurable results are essential.
Qualifications & Experience
- +5 years of experience in implementing transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience in a customer‑facing role, capable of influencing business and IT stakeholders and working collaboratively.
- Multicultural experience.
- Relevant experience in digital transformation, project management or business strategy, ideally with successful digital transformation projects.
- Experience in agile methodology (preferred).
- Fluent in English and French.
Work Mode & Location
Hybrid: 3 days in Paris (8ᵉ) after the probation period.
