The Demand Planner at the industrial site in Carros works at the intersection of commerce, finance and production, ensuring absolute forecast reliability and driving the digital transformation of the supply chain. Based in Carros (06).
Responsibilities
- Engage with Commercial Director & Sales teams: challenge baseline forecasts, integrate tender and promotion impacts.
- Coordinate with General Managers and Regional Directors: align demand plans with local market dynamics, report risks and opportunities in IBP cycles.
- Collaborate with Marketing: review demand, model impact of new product launches (NPI) and end‑of‑life.
- Partner with Corporate Finance: value 24‑month forecasts, support transition from S&OP to full IBP.
- Work with Production Supply Planners: translate demand into capacity constraints, arbitrate imbalances, adjust safety stock to avoid stockouts and obsolescence.
Demand Planning Cycle Management (S&OP / IBP)
- Analyze sales history and prepare baseline forecasts.
- Lead monthly Demand Reviews to consolidate partner inputs.
- Prepare capacity and financial arbitrage for IBP decision making.
- Track key KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias), identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
Digital Transformation & APS Projects
- Play a key role in deploying the future advanced planning tool (e.g., FuturMaster, Kinaxis, OMP).
- Write functional specifications and define user needs.
- Conduct UAT campaigns, ensure master data quality and support end‑user change management.
Data & Continuous Improvement
- Modernise processes with exception‑based forecasting methods and automation of low‑value tasks.
- Design, develop and evolve interactive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) for real‑time performance monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bac+5 (Engineer or Master in Supply Chain).
- Minimum 3 years of demand planning experience in a demanding industrial environment (Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic or Food & Beverage) with regulatory constraints (BPF/GMP).
- APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) is a major advantage.
- Proficiency in an advanced planning tool (APS) and an ERP (SAP or M3).
- Expertise in Excel and Business Intelligence tools.
- Fluent in English.
