Delivery Manager - CDI Toulouse
Position details
Full time permanent contract
Location : Toulouse
About the Role
Our engineering team develops and integrates the core command-and-control software and low-level controllers powering our autonomous platforms.
As a Delivery Manager , you own the planning, execution, and team growth for your software component. You will lead a team of engineers and Tech Leads to ensure features are delivered predictably, meeting high quality and safety standards, all while fostering a healthy, high-performing team culture.
What You’ll Do
1. Delivery, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
Predictable Execution: Own release planning, track software progress, detect deviations early, and proactively drive risk mitigation plans.
Flow & Metrics: Provide the right frameworks to smooth out delivery, track velocity and quality metrics, and clear technical or organizational roadblocks.
Hand-over & Support: Ensure seamless hand-over and clear communication with Integration and Support teams for every delivered version, helping them provide fluid and reactive post-release support.
Operational Reporting: Participate in regular synchronization meetings with your R&D Manager and peer Delivery Managers for cross-team tracking and operational alignment.
2. Component Ownership & Backlog Management
Planning & Backlog: Collect, challenge, and refine needs from internal stakeholders (Program, System, Operations). Prioritize and prepare the component backlog and release planning (sprints/increments) based on agreed solutions.
Cross-Team Alignment: Collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Architects, IVV Managers, and other Delivery Managers to define technical proposals and align cross-component dependencies.
3. Team Management & Leadership
People Leadership: Directly manage your component team (Engineers, Tech Leads), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Talent Growth: Support individual growth through regular 1-on-1s, annual performance reviews, tailored objective-setting, and annual training plans aligned with both personal development and EasyMile’s roadmap.
Hiring & Org Design: Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities, while actively driving the engineering hiring plan from sourcing to onboarding.
Strategic Alignment: Champion EasyMile’s vision and values, balancing system performance, scalability, safety, and security with resource constraints.
We are looking for a leader with strong technical foundations and a passion for managing people and projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Technical & Professional Experience
Advanced experience in project/delivery management and team leadership within embedded software environments.
Advanced skills in backlog management, resource allocation, release delivery methodologies, and tooling.
Solid software engineering culture accustomed to constrained environments (safety, real-time, security).
Fluency in both English and French (used daily).
Soft Skills
Pragmatism & Result Orientation: Ability to make sound decisions, manage priorities, and deliver under resource constraints.
Communication & Emotional Intelligence: Strong active listener capable of bridging communication gaps across cross-functional teams (System, Ops, Support, Dev).
Adaptability (Context Switching): Comfortable moving seamlessly between high-level team design/planning and immediate operational blockers.
