Deal Modeling & Banking Materials Reviewer

The opportunity

IXO is seeking practitioners for paid work that tests financial modeling and investment-banking judgment. The work turns the standards used to build and review deal materials into cases, reference outputs and explicit evaluation criteria. Applicants should be able to explain decisions from work they personally performed.

Work and deliverables

• Build a three-statement model and leveraged-buyout analysis from a set of company filings. Document the reasoning and write criteria that let reviewers identify mistakes in an AI-generated attempt.
• Review generated comparable-company and precedent-transaction analyses. Explain inappropriate multiples, incorrect period alignment or unsuitable peer selection and how each issue changes the conclusion.
• Evaluate draft confidential information memoranda and pitch materials against the standard expected in a senior banker’s review. Record the reason for each scoring deduction.

Deliverables may include linked financial models, valuation comparisons, marked-up materials and grading guides. Calculations should support the written conclusion, and your feedback should make it possible to distinguish a sound financial answer from a polished but unreliable one. Flag missing facts or unclear instructions rather than silently assuming away a material ambiguity.

Practitioner background

You need professional experience in financial modeling, valuation or transaction execution, together with clear written communication. Recent personal ownership of models and written materials matters more than the reputation of a previous firm. Be ready to explain the judgment calls behind that work without sharing confidential documents.

Relevant routes include M&A advisory, leveraged finance, restructuring and equity or debt capital markets; private equity, growth equity, private credit or distressed investing; and corporate development or internal M&A. Engagement and pay

Advertised remote pay is $105 $140/hr USD. IXO confirms the rate, responsibilities, hours, schedule and duration before any assignment is accepted.
