Datacenter Technician/DC Ops Tech
About The Role
We are currently seeking a Data Center Technician to support both company‑specific servers as well as servers onsite at customer data centers. The ideal candidate balances technical skills in hardware, IT, and cabling management and is highly analytical with superior attention‑to‑detail, self‑motivated, and a positive, humble results‑driven attitude. Technicians provide feedback, create documentation on both technical and non‑technical processes, and contribute to our knowledge library through KB articles, SOPs, lessons learned, etc. The role is both internal and external facing, with responsibility to lead and drive initiatives to conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hardware setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for servers, racks, and switches.
- Support network setup and cabling management, ensuring accuracy and minimal downtime.
- Handle incident reporting, escalation, and documentation (SOPs, KB articles, lessons learned).
- Ensure safety compliance and participate in daily operational briefings.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, driving assigned initiatives to completion.
- Maintain strong client focus and uphold data center service quality and SLAs.
Requirements
Ideal profile:
- 1–2+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician.
- Strong hardware and network troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work autonomously or in a distributed team.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: CCNA, MCP/MSCE.
- Scripting knowledge: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
