Data Center Technician – Short-Term Project (France – Lyon Area)

We’re currently supporting a large-scale data centre deployment in the Lyon region and are looking for experienced Data Center Technicians to assist with a high-volume equipment installation project.

This is a short-term onsite engagement (4 weeks) starting in May, with potential for additional phases depending on project requirements.

The Role

You’ll be working as part of a technical deployment team supporting the installation and setup of infrastructure within a live data centre environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Rack & stack of servers, switches, and associated hardware
• Structured cabling (Cat6/6A and fibre patching)
• Reading and working from rack elevations and cabling diagrams
• Cable management (labelling, routing, separation of power/data)
• Safe handling and installation of high-value equipment
• Powering and connecting devices (PDUs, A/B feeds)
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and onsite discipline

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with technicians who bring a solid mix of hands‑on data centre experience and attention to detail, including:

• Proven rack & stack experience within data centre environments
• Strong cabling skills (copper and fibre)
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and follow structured processes
• Basic networking understanding (ports, patching, connectivity checks)
• Experience working to strict onsite standards and procedures

Nice to Have

• Exposure to high-density or GPU-based server environments
• Basic troubleshooting capability (power/connectivity)
