Database Administrator – Expert

• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of critical databases within a high-traffic digital environment
• Lead the administration and optimization of SQL Server environments while ensuring a high level of service
• Handle complex incidents, upgrades, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability requirements
• Support development teams during the design phase and challenge technical decisions and data models
• Optimize SQL performance and participate in code reviews affecting databases
• Contribute to the transformation of architectures toward PostgreSQL, cloud databases, and DevOps practices
• Automate and industrialize deployments through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in the recruitment process, including phone screenings, technical interviews, and client meetings

Requirements

• Proven expertise in SQL Server (Always On, tuning, indexing, replication, backups, disaster recovery/business continuity, high availability)
• Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Patroni
• Proficiency in DevOps environments: Git, CI/CD, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, as well as virtualized and containerized environments
• Ability to work on operations, architecture, and database design topics
• Ability to operate in critical environments with high standards and demanding requirements
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and challenging design decisions
• Autonomous, rigorous, and accountable
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for environments undergoing transformation
• At least 10 years of experience in database administration
• Dual expertise required: Production DBA and Development/Design DBA
• Experience in environments with stringent availability and performance requirements
• Higher education in computer science or equivalent experience
• Professional English is a plus
