Data Scientist

We're currently supporting our Retail client in Paris and we're looking for a Data Scientist to join on a freelance hybrid contract (2x / Week in Paris)

Contract ends July 2029

Primary Responsibilities / Project Goals

• Support digitalization of the client's FMCG promotional process via a collaborative supplier portal
• Build and deploy 3 intelligent AI agents: negotiation automation, dynamic catalog/pricing steering, and automated tender/RFP generation
• Develop predictive ML models and optimization algorithms (pricing/promotions focus)
• Structure data models to feed and support AI agents (inputs, product reference data)
• Design GenAI/NLP-based agentic workflows for message analysis and automated interactions, integrated with the client's internal data ecosystem (Darwin, CPO, Apoline)

Requirements

• Strong ML & optimization expertise, ideally in pricing/promotions
• Data modeling skills for AI agent architectures
• Generative AI/NLP proficiency, especially designing agentic workflows
• Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred), Git/CI-CD, DevOps & observability best practices
• (Valued) 7+ years Python data science experience, retail sector background, Master's-level degree, hybrid Agentic AI + GenAI + Decision AI expertise
