Data Engineer

Stellantis is looking for a Data Engineer to support our data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the complete set of data needed for Data Analysts and Data Scientists.
  • Deploy tools and processes to process, cleanse and model large volumes of data (collection from IT sources, cleaning and transformation in the appropriate data processing environment).
  • Build the data model corresponding to the functional schema defined by the business.
  • Develop data processing pipelines for various projects.
  • Ensure performance and integrity level of data processing as required.
  • Deploy monitoring tools and document pipelines.
  • Leverage pipeline development to provide a generic, transferable, and scalable vision.
  • Support and maintain existing pipelines.
  • Keep up-to-date with technology in your domain of expertise.
  • Collaborate with other data stakeholders (Data Analysts, Data Scientists) and IT teams (DevOps, Infrastructure, Architecture, Project Managers).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated cross‑disciplinary versatility: data engineering, software architecture, data science, DevOps, etc.
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Knowledge of database management concepts (RDBMS, NoSQL) and big data environments (Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch).
  • Proficiency with data query and processing tools (ETL/ELT, DBT, DataStage, Kafka for real‑time processing).
  • Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Foundry.
  • Understanding of data engineering operational concepts (code versioning, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow).
  • Ability to translate complex and ambiguous business problems into concrete development and data requirements.
  • Experience building highly scalable services or products in a large international B2B/B2C company.
  • Familiarity with business objectives, compliance requirements (e.g., data protection & confidentiality) and technical constraints in a data landscape.
  • Knowledge of regional or international data regulations, privacy laws and industry best practices.
  • Proactive, collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset contributing positively to Stellantis’ data culture.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in technical writing and management‑level presentations.
