Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize the cloud data infrastructure to support Purse’s growing data/AI needs
• Design and evolve high-performance data pipelines: large-scale ingestion, transformation and orchestration for payment streams
• Ensure data quality, traceability and compliance (GDPR, payment data security)
• Act as a technical partner to Tech, Product, Business and AI teams, translating functional requirements into robust, scalable solutions
• Actively contribute to the team’s data maturity: best practices, documentation, code reviews

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering, with experience deploying pipelines to production
• Proficiency with GCP and its data services (BigQuery, Dataform or equivalents) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Strong experience in data modeling, pipeline architecture and query optimization
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams while maintaining rigor
• Ideally, experience in fintech, payments or regulated environments (PCI-DSS, GDPR)
