Data Domain Manager

The Data Domain Manager oversees all data‑related activities within a given business domain, ensuring consistency, alignment with enterprise governance, and effective enablement of business‑led data initiatives. The role drives business transformation through coordination of domain‑wide initiatives, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and effective delivery. It promotes strong business ownership while ensuring adherence to enterprise data governance and establishing robust data foundations, fostering collaboration across Business, Data, and IT stakeholders to promote data quality, accessibility, and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Domain Data Activities: maintain a unified view of all data initiatives, ensuring strong alignment, consistent prioritization, and effective coordination across the domain (including Delivery, MDM, Data Quality, Training, etc.). Deliver these initiatives in close collaboration with Business, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Enable Business Ownership: support business teams in owning their data roadmap and delivery, providing structure and guidance without taking over execution, and ensuring transfer to the target operating model.
  • Ensure Alignment with Central Governance: act as the relay of enterprise data governance, ensuring standards, policies, and frameworks are properly implemented and that specific roles are in place to enable data governance.
  • Drive Data Transformation Foundations: ensure the domain has the right data foundations (quality, definitions, lineage, controls, processes, roles) to support transformation initiatives.
  • Coordinate Stakeholders, animate key committees: facilitate key committees by orchestrating interactions between Business, Data, and IT teams to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency within the domain and across dependent domains (provider/consumer relationships).
  • Promote Data Quality & Trust: ensure that data quality practices are in place and consistently applied across the domain.
  • Continuously Improve Data Accessibility: drive initiatives that make data easier to find, understand, and use (catalog, documentation, shared definitions) and easier to access (e.g., DataViz solutions), in close collaboration with the teams responsible for delivering these solutions, ensuring effective adoption across the organization.
  • Drive & Monitor Adoption: define clear success metrics, track usage and impact, identify gaps, and implement targeted actions (communication, training, change management) to ensure solutions are embedded in day‑to‑day operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Data, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Digital Transformation, Data Management, Analytics, Product Management, or Change Management are a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in data‑related initiatives, business transformation, digital transformation, consulting.
  • Experience working across Business, Data, and Technology teams in a complex international environment.
  • Experience managing change/business transformation related to data initiatives.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders and facilitating alignment across diverse functions and priorities.
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and translate them into clear business decisions and actions.
  • Structured, analytical and outcome‑oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, transportation, commercial or support function processes is a strong advantage.
