What This Job Involves

The Project Manager – Data Center is responsible for managing complex data centre projects, including infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansions. The role involves planning, coordinating and overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget and resource allocation. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specified quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, managing expectations and ensuring alignment between project objectives and organisational goals.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify, analyse and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project success.
• Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans to address organisational and technological changes associated with data centre projects, facilitating smooth transitions and minimising disruptions to ongoing operations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, project plans and lessons learned. Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and executive management.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices, implementing strategies to enhance project management methodologies and overall efficiency of data centre project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a similar role managing data centre projects.
• Ability to manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of technical projects from planning and estimating to execution and delivery.
• Strong technical background.
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
• International experience and fluent knowledge of French and English.
• Excellent organisational skills, detail‑oriented, able to work independently and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent presentation abilities with the capacity to interact with executive‑level clients and internal/external team members (architects, contractors, client representatives, etc.).
• Team player with a proven track record as a business and team leader.
