Job Summary
Applies acquired job skills to work on tasks that are semi‑routine in nature. Focus is on semi‑routine tasks within standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate large customer deliveries and resolve shipping or receiving issues, maintaining records/logs of all materials.
- Apply acquired job skills, company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Work on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature, recognizing the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Follow established procedures on routine work, requiring instructions only on new assignments.
Documentation & System Updates
- Coordinate speedy and efficient delivery of goods to the required destination and obtain sign‑off for receipt.
- Inform recipients that goods ordered have been delivered.
Shipping & Receiving
- Maintain records of materials received and shipped within a semi‑routine scope.
- Receive goods delivered to the data center either directly or following acceptance by security.
- Enter all relevant details of all inbound/outbound shipments and ensure order requirements are fulfilled.
- Use shipment spotlight and shipment dashboard for customers inbound/outbound shipments.
- Inspect received goods and reject unsatisfactory items where necessary.
Problem‑Solving
- Proactively work and communicate with internal/external customers to ensure on‑time deliveries.
- Assist with resolving difficult shipping and receiving issues.
Inventory Management

Hazardous Materials
- Follow established procedures on hazardous materials, requiring supervision on new assignments.
- Follow and comply with hazardous materials within semi‑routine protocols, as described by regional regulatory bodies.
Equipment
- Track stored and/or abandoned equipment.
- Use the aging shipment business processes/tools for shipments over 5 days, 14 days, 30 days and 90 days.
Data Center Support
- Assist with delivering and removal of customers equipment from cages through established procedures.
- When requested by a Smart Hand (SH) request, assist with packing customers equipment with packaging material so it can be shipped from the data center.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma and proven years of equivalent work experience.
- Regional hazardous materials certification preferred.
