A leading player in mission‑critical power and energy solutions is strengthening its Data Center division with the appointment of a Data Center Business Unit Manager to lead its turnkey project delivery and commercial growth across France and wider EMEA opportunities.

This is a high‑impact leadership role sitting at the heart of the data center power ecosystem, covering genset‑based backup solutions, UPS integration, hybrid energy systems, and full installation and commissioning services.

You will own a multi‑million‑euro business unit operating in a fast‑scaling market driven by AI infrastructure growth, grid constraints and increasing demand for resilient, sustainable power.

The role combines commercial leadership, technical oversight, and full P&L responsibility, acting as the bridge between sales, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to deliver complex, large‑scale data center energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of data center power solutions, including design, sales, production, installation, commissioning, and handover
• Drive new business development and account management across consultants, end users, general contractors, and hyperscale clients
• Own and manage full P&L responsibility for the Business Unit
• Oversee multiple concurrent large‑scale projects in the high tens of millions
• Manage and develop cross‑functional teams including: Sales engineers, Project engineers, Construction site managers, Commissioning and field service teams
• Act as the key interface between clients, engineering teams, and delivery partners
• Lead contract negotiations, budget control, and stakeholder alignment across complex multi‑party environments
• Ensure successful delivery of containerised and fully integrated data center power solutions (onsite and external installations)

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial leadership background (BD + sales ownership in complex technical environments)
• Proven experience managing large‑scale infrastructure or capital projects
• Strong stakeholder management across consultants, contractors, and end users
• Ability to operate in a full‑cycle role (sales ? delivery ? commissioning)
• Excellent budget ownership and contract management capability
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary technical and commercial teams
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage at C‑level and operational level
