Job Overview
The Data Business Process & Automation Lead in purchasing area is accountable for driving process‑first digital transformation across Purchasing by identifying, redesigning, and automating high‑impact business workflows.

This role operates at the intersection of business process expertise and data enablement, working closely with Product Owners to translate process pain points into scalable data products, analytics, and AI solutions. The role complements existing PRSY and Purchasing process ownership by focusing on future‑state process design and automation, not day‑to‑day execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Identification & Redesign
- Identify priority Purchasing processes with high automation and performance‑improvement potential.
- Map current‑state processes and pain points across regions, divisions, and systems.
- Define target‑state processes that leverage data, analytics, and AI to remove friction.
- Ensure clear definition of process boundaries and hand‑offs across data products.
- Automation & Digital Enablement
- Shape automation opportunities in collaboration with Data & AI Product Owners.
- Translate business process requirements into structured inputs for data products, analytics, and AI.
- Ensure automation initiatives are scalable, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Performance & Value Measurement
- Define KPIs to measure operational impact of process and automation initiatives.
- Track realized benefits such as cycle‑time reduction, manual effort reduction, and compliance improvement.
- Ensure automation initiatives demonstrate clear business value aligned with VCP objectives.
- Cross‑Functional Alignment
- Partner with PRSY / Process & Systems leadership to ensure alignment with Purchasing process ownership.
- Collaborate with Data & AI Product Owners to sequence delivery based on process impact.
- Interface with Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Audit, and ICT as required for cross‑domain processes.
- Surface integration gaps or systemic constraints impacting end‑to‑end processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as Data Governance, Data Management, Data Compliance, or Data Stewardship.
- Proven background as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Steward, or Data Product Owner.
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, Data Security, and Data Catalog management.
- Experience with Collibra (or similar Data Catalog tools).
- Good understanding of SQL and Python.
- Experience using AI and automation to improve business processes.
- Ability to act as the main business contact for data‑related topics.
- Experience defining and maintaining data definitions and business rules.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cost optimization, operational efficiency, and risk management principles within a data environment.
