Data Business Analyst

Overview

In the Data Factory Team, reporting to the Data Management Director, the Business Analyst is the proxy Product Owner inside the Data Factory and internal Head of Project. He/She has to:

Responsibilities

• Support internal clients (countries and corporate functions) in their data projects; help them express their needs, advise and guide them on possible solutions; communicate and promote Data Platform solutions in different subsidiaries and in Corporate; translate client needs into functional requirements; produce the appropriate documentation for Go/No Go decisions, prioritization and development.
• Steer and follow data projects on QCD axis from framing to go live, using Agile methods.
• Ensure compliance and auditability with Data project methodology and delivery of project documentation.
• Coordinate actions between stakeholders in Corporate and Subsidiaries: Project Owner, Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Factory teams (Data Engineering, Data Science, IT & Data Architecture) and the businesses involved (credit, marketing, digital, regulatory, financials & controlling).
• Define and monitor the QCD KPIs and report on progress of projects under charge; ensure business validation of finished products and training/operational usage.
• Guarantee finished products from delivery in production to serial life management.
• Frame Data Platform use cases for Go/No Go decisions and prioritization; ensure prerequisites are met; ensure KPIs are measurable.
• Formalize business requirements documentation outlining business needs and features; lead the project through Data Factory and Data Office stages; validate or adjust the proposed solution and schedule.
• Roll out project phases from framing to go live on the QCD axis, coordinating stakeholders and following the data factory methodology (agile).
• Steer project committees and comitology; establish test plans and oversee rollout; ensure proper production delivery and ongoing maintenance; ensure project documentation is created per Data Factory method.
• Prepare necessary project presentations.

Qualifications

• Fluent English; Basic SQL; ability to perform simple queries; data analysis skills.
• Project management or project owner support experience required; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Business process analysis and data analysis aptitude; animation/coordination and teamwork aptitude; synthetic spirit, organization and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of banking, insurance, and automobile sectors is appreciated.
• Knowledge or aptitude for Agile methods and related tools; MS Office mastery; knowledge/aptitude for Big Data technologies, AI, Data Engineering and Data Science appreciated.
