Responsibilities
- Design, develop distributed, fault‑tolerant scalable data solutions.
- Translate business requirements into corresponding data requirements.
- Collect and process data at scale from a variety of sources for different project needs.
- Participate in identifying, evaluating, selecting and integrating data frameworks and tools required for the data platform.
- Provide the design and architecture of the data platform.
- Design, develop and maintain data APIs.
- Develop solutions independently based on high‑level design and architecture with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with internal architect community and ensure organizational best architectural practices are followed.
- Monitor the performance of the data platform on a regular basis and tune the infrastructure and platform components accordingly to ensure the best performance.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in data technologies and stay current on latest data technologies.
- Create and maintain the architecture documents.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI, IIoT, ETL technologies, flow processing systems and emerging technical trends.
- Ability to scale technology in fast‑growing environments.
- Prior experience with designing and data‑platform components that are scalable, high‑performing and low‑operational cost.
- Proven experience with integration of data from multiple heterogeneous and distributed data sources.
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Familiarity with the following technological elements (non‑exhaustive list):
- IIoT platform
- Databases: SQL, NoSQL, graphs, columns
- Cloud architectures: Azure, AWS
- Big Data: Spark, Databricks, Kafka
- ETL/ELT: Data Factory, Talend, Prefect
- Governance and DLP: Microsoft Purview
- At least five years of experience in designing data solutions.
- Experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications (non‑exhaustive list) such as:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Microsoft)
- Azure Data Engineer Associate (Microsoft)
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Analytical mind and rigorous approach.
- Technical leadership.
- Curiosity and technological awareness.
- Collaborative work in an agile environment.
- A strong proposal to create a dynamic data environment.
- Ability to provide technical direction.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: 60‑70 K€.
