Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in every phase of our projects and will be responsible for:
- Design and develop scalable batch and real-time data pipelines on GCP.
- Build and optimize data warehouses using BigQuery.
- Implement ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Cloud Workflows and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Design dimensional data models and curated data marts.
- Deploy and manage ML models using Vertex AI and build real-time AI inference APIs.
- Develop and deploy microservices using Python/Node.js on Cloud Run or Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Implement CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Ensure data governance, access control, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Required education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and cloud-based environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud‑native architecture design.
- Excellent understanding and mastery of IT architectures with the ability to design scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python and expert‑level expertise in SQL.
- Strong experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data warehousing.
- Expertise in data science methodologies, including data cleaning, data exploration, and data visualization principles.
- Experience deploying AI/ML models and building RESTful APIs for production environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative mindset with proven experience working in cross‑functional teams.
- Adaptability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
