Job Description
Ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of business applications and data platforms, guaranteeing service continuity and alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end operations of business applications and data platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and continuous alignment with business requirements.
- Supervise all phases of the application lifecycle (deployment, evolution, maintenance, decommissioning), ensuring adaptability to changing business needs and technology evolution.
- Manage and coordinate AMS service providers, ensuring performance, cost control, and full compliance with SLAs/OLAs. Drive accountability and continuous service improvement.
- Lead the resolution of major incidents and critical issues, ensuring timely recovery, clear communication, and structured root cause analysis with preventive actions.
- Oversee change management processes, ensuring proper risk assessment, planning, and execution with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure data pipeline stability and data quality by monitoring ETL processes, managing data incidents (e.g. discards), and enforcing data validation and quality checks.
- Define, monitor, and report KPIs/SLAs related to application and data operations (availability, latency, data freshness, incident resolution time).
- Identify improvement opportunities across operations, automation, and monitoring, and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Act as the main point of contact for business and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, transparent communication, and effective escalation management.
Required Skills
- Experience managing modern data platforms and BI tools (e.g. Qlik, Power BI, Foundry, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, orchestration frameworks (ADF, DBT, DLTHub), and data observability practices.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and distributed data architectures.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request).
- Experience with ticketing tools (e.g. ServiceNow).
- Experience with monitoring tools and practices for applications and data pipelines (logs, alerts, KPIs).
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors, driving execution and accountability.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business impact.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
