Cytology Expert

At Datexim, we develop AI-powered solutions that support healthcare professionals in cervical cancer screening by improving the speed, accuracy, and reliability of cytology diagnostics.

We’re looking for a Cytology Expert (M/F) to join our R&D team in Caen, Normandy (France) .

As part of a multidisciplinary team of cytologists, engineers, and data scientists, you will play a key role in developing and validating next-generation AI tools for digital cytology.

Your responsibilities:

• Annotate and review cytology slide images
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to improve algorithm performance
• Contribute to research activities, product testing, clinical validation, and technical documentation.
• Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support product development and feature design.
• Participate in scientific communication and keep up to date with advances in cytology and digital pathology.

Your profile:

• Degree in Cytotechnology or Laboratory Sciences
• Strong expertise in gynecological cytology (non-GYN is a plus) with experience in both conventional and liquid-based cytology screening
• Good analytical skills and ease working with datasets and tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• A rigorous, curious mindset with an interest in innovative healthcare technologies
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• English is a must. French and additional languages are a plus
