Are you looking to leverage your customs expertise while supporting operational excellence and business transformation? Join us as a Customs Business Partner .

Your Role

As the key customs contact for our French terminals, you will act as the link between local stakeholders and the Group Customs organization. Working closely with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Terminal Management and Group Customs teams, you will ensure customs compliance, support continuous improvement initiatives and drive effective collaboration across the business.

Based in Le Havre , this position requires regular travel across the terminals within your French scope and potentially other European terminals , as well as occasional travel to Rotterdam to collaborate with the Group Customs organization and participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the customs focal point for assigned terminals in France.
  • Serve as the interface between local teams and the Group Customs organization.
  • Support stakeholders in the implementation and application of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Lead regular customs reviews, follow up action plans and coordinate escalations.
  • Identify and resolve compliance risks, operational bottlenecks and recurring customs issues.
  • Contribute to transformation, continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Maintain strong operational customs expertise through periodic customs case handling and declaration reviews.
  • Travel regularly to terminals within the French scope and occasionally to Rotterdam.
  • The business partner reports to the Customs Manager at head office

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years' experience in customs operations, ideally within a port, logistics or transportation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and operational customs processes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, project management or change management is an advantage.
  • Fluent French and English are mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within France and occasionally to the Netherlands and other EU destinations.
