Customer Support Engineer
We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to support our customers with current and future installed tools at customer site. We will consider new graduates provided they demonstrate a strong hands‑on competence and a desire to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Successful applicants will be formally trained at one of our award-winning training centers in California, USA or Singapore or Taiwan.
- Domestic and international travel is required on a regular basis.
- Responsible for customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing highly complex capital equipment at customer sites.
- Be the face of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction with our service and maintaining the operational quality of system equipment.
- Coordinate actions with customers to minimize downtime.
- Provide assistance to Installation Engineers in resolving problems.
Qualifications
- Certified engineer or degree from an advanced technical school or approximately 3 years of industry working experience. Technical military occupational specialties and training may be considered.
- Ability to understand and tackle problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro‑mechanical and/or electro‑optical systems to address on‑site customer problems.
- Experience working on electronic systems within the semiconductor, medical devices, defense, aerospace, or aviation industry is a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven track record of engaging empathetically with customers, ensuring a positive experience while fostering a collaborative environment to address their needs and concerns.
- Driven to be hands‑on and passionate about learning new things.
- Proactive communication that facilitates seamless collaboration and addresses customer requirements effectively.
- Fluent in English and French is a must.
- Full driver’s license.
