Our client is a rapidly growing international fast-food business that is launching its operations in France following significant success in the UK.
The business combines food, technology and data to help restaurant and food brands expand through a network of partner kitchens and delivery locations. As the company establishes its French operations, they are looking for a Culinary Trainer to become one of the first members of the team on the ground in France.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth business at an early stage of its French expansion and play a key role in establishing its culinary and operational standards.
The Role
As Culinary Trainer, you will be responsible for ensuring that partner kitchen teams are fully trained and equipped to deliver food consistently to the required brand and quality standards.
Your main focus will be hands-on training within partner kitchens , initially across Paris and the surrounding area, with the role expanding geographically as the French network grows.
You will work across multiple food brands and cuisines, partnering with external kitchen teams and working closely with internal sales, operations and culinary teams.
Alongside training, you will contribute to menu development, operational improvement and supply chain initiatives as the French business develops.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on culinary training to partner kitchen teams, ensuring recipes, preparation methods and presentation consistently meet brand standards.
- Support the onboarding and launch of new food brands within partner kitchens.
- Visit and assess partner kitchens, ensuring they have the appropriate capability, capacity and operational standards.
- Conduct regular operational and culinary audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train kitchen teams on relevant technology and operational processes, helping partners understand the key performance measures behind a successful launch.
- Build strong working relationships with external kitchen partners and internal stakeholders.
- Assess kitchen capacity and capability and provide feedback to the wider business.
- Support the development of recipe guides, operational playbooks, stock levels and cost-of-goods information.
- Assist with purchasing, stock and ingredient availability when required for training and new launches.
- Ensure food preparation complies with French health, hygiene, food safety and HACCP requirements.
- Contribute to the localisation and refinement of menus for the French market.
- Support supply chain development and sourcing initiatives where required.
- Provide culinary and operational support for new site openings and other business projects.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and energetic culinary professional who combines strong technical food knowledge with excellent communication and training skills , along with fluency in French and English.
You will have:
- Experience in a senior chef or equivalent culinary role , including experience leading or managing a kitchen team.
- Proven experience training and developing chefs or kitchen teams .
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and French hygiene and food safety requirements .
- Fluency in French and English , both written and spoken, with English required for regular collaboration with international colleagues.
- The confidence and flexibility to work independently across multiple sites.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with external partners.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.

Remuneration: 38-45K€ base salary + up to 6% bonus + share options
