CTRM Business Analyst

Role Description

The CTRM Business Analyst will work on-site in the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region in a full-time capacity, partnering closely with commodity trading stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into system and process requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, analysing trading workflows, and supporting the design and configuration of CTRM and related analytical solutions. The role involves collaborating with technology teams to ensure solutions are correctly implemented, testing and validating new features, and helping users adopt and optimise new tools and processes. The Business Analyst will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights that enhance risk management, reporting, and overall trading performance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex trading data and identify trends and issues.
• Proficiency in business analysis and business process mapping to translate operational needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Ability to define, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Effective communication skills, with the capacity to engage with front office, risk, operations, and IT in a clear, structured way.
• Experience in commodity trading, risk management, or financial markets, ideally with exposure to CTRM systems.
• Familiarity with software implementation lifecycles, including requirements gathering, testing, and user training.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• 5-10+ years of experience in commodity trading environments
• Experience working with trading, risk, logistics, and finance teams
