As development continues to accelerate, they are seeking a Critical Embedded Systems Development Lead to oversee the development and certification of safety-critical avionics, embedded software and electronic control units.
The Role
This is a senior technical position responsible for leading the development, verification and certification of critical embedded systems used across AURA AERO's aircraft programmes.
You will work closely with systems, software, algorithms, safety and certification teams, while acting as a key technical interface with suppliers and aviation authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development activities for safety-critical electronic control units and embedded software
- Oversee compliance with:
- Support certification activities up to DAL A level
- Manage development of integration and test benches
- Support definition of embedded software architecture, low-level software and drivers
- Define and implement V&V tools and methodologies
- Manage technical suppliers and approve development specifications
- Support EASA certification audits and certification reviews
- Work closely with Systems, Software, Algorithms, Safety and Certification teams
About You
- Degree qualified in Embedded Software, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience developing safety-critical embedded systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- Embedded Software Architecture
- Experience supporting certification programmes up to DAL A level
- Previous involvement with EASA certification audits (SOI audits desirable)
- Strong communication skills and fluent English
