Overview

The Clearing House needs to provide robust and prudent risk management to support its Clearing Members and safeguard shareholders and Clearing Funds.

Description of the mission

This is a 1‑year fixed‑term contract.

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will carry out credit risk assessments and continually monitor counterparties including banks, non‑bank financial institutions, broker‑dealers, sovereigns, and supranational entities.

Responsibilities

  • Review team members' analyses and reports, and support the Deputy Head of Credit Risk in representing Credit Risk views with other teams.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing Clearing Members, including banks, brokers, funds, and insurance companies.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of financial information, net capital figures, and market developments for Clearing Members and other counterparties.
  • Organise and maintain internal databases, produce daily monitoring reports, and manage members' financial files and spreadsheets.
  • Participate in credit meetings and offer Credit Risk opinions for new initiatives or ad‑hoc discussions with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of credit risk tools, liaising with risk reporting and IT teams.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders such as BDRM, CaLM, Compliance, and Finance, and assist the Deputy Head in answering regulator questions and tracking regulatory impacts.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, particularly with financial institutions.
  • Strong accounting and bank‑analysis skills; interest in credit analysis and clearing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg; good written and oral English.
  • Highly motivated, organized, detail‑oriented, analytical, self‑motivated, with strong problem‑analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational abilities.
  • Career stage: Senior Associate.
