Team: Finance Department, reporting to the France Finance Manager
Where we need you:
As Credit Controller , you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Credit Management activities for France, Denmark and Switzerland.
This is a hands-on operational role where you will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely cash collection, accurate payment allocation, and effective management of customer accounts.
While you will also contribute to reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, the main focus of the role is ensuring efficient execution of daily AR and collection activities while supporting healthy cash flow and minimizing credit risk.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts Receivable (approximately 30%)
- Post and allocate customer payments accurately.
- Clear open invoices and reconcile customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensure Accounts Receivable records are accurate and up to date.
Cash Collection (approximately 40%)
- Manage collections for an assigned customer portfolio.
- Proactively monitor overdue balances and contact customers by phone and email to secure timely payment.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve disputes impacting collections.
Analysis & Reporting (approximately 20%)
- Monitor ageing reports, collection performance, and customer account status.
- Prepare regular reports and provide insights on overdue balances and collection KPIs.
- Support credit risk monitoring through data analysis.
Process Improvement (approximately 10%)
- Contribute to the standardization and optimization of Accounts Receivable and Credit Management processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, including RPA initiatives.
- Support best practice sharing across the supported entities.
Scope of the role:
The position supports three entities within the business:
Travel requirement: approximately 5–10%.

The ideal recipe for our new Credit Controller:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Collections within a B2B environment.
- Proven hands-on operational experience in cash collection, customer follow-up, payment allocation, invoice clearing, and Accounts Receivable management is essential.
- Comfortable contacting customers by phone and managing overdue accounts on a daily basis.
- Experience working with SAP (S/4HANA is a plus).
- Fluent in French and English.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Well organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in contributing to process improvements and developing toward more analytical responsibilities over time.
