About üma

“87% of mid-life women feel overlooked by society and by brands.”

GenM, The Invisibility Report

We are building the company that ends that invisibility.

Laboratoires üma is the French brand redefining women’s midlife health. The women we serve tell us the same thing, almost word for word: “I don’t recognize myself anymore.” Menopause will touch every woman, yet it remains one of the most underserved spaces in consumer health. We exist to change that, with science-backed, hormone-free supplements and care products that help women understand their bodies and feel like themselves again.

We are clinically driven: our formulas are backed by real research, including our own clinical study, and developed with rigorous quality and regulatory standards. More than 100,000 women trust üma. We are profitable, growing fast, and expanding across Europe, direct‑to‑consumer first, with a growing pharmacy footprint.

At üma, the ambition isn’t ours: it comes from the millions of women concerned, and the taboos still left to break. Our answer is to grow fast without growing heavy: a small, senior team, real territory for everyone, talent density over headcount, AI as a default. Work here is judged by what it changes, for the business and for the women we serve. We don’t sell just any product, and we don’t build it with just anyone: mission‑fit matters as much as talent. If it’s comfort you’re after, there are better places. If it’s usefulness, welcome.

The Opportunity

It’s 11:07 pm. She’s scrolling, half there. Your ad has two seconds to tell her: this one is about you. That’s the job. Turning what women actually live after 45, the broken nights, the words they don’t dare say, the solutions no one ever offers them, into ideas that stop the thumb and proof that builds trust. Not pretty ads: true ones, that win, and win for the right reasons.

You’ll be our first Creative Strategist , and the creative system that powers our growth will come out of your head. You start from customer insight, turn it into angles, hooks, and concepts, orchestrate production at pace, and read the results to write the next brief. You think strategy and keep your hands in the material: a hook you rewrite yourself, a cut you can judge at first glance.

Twelve months in, we’ll know it worked by four things: our ads win more often; output keeps up with rising budgets without diluting the brand; every brief starts from a customer verbatim, not a hunch; and at least one angle born from your instinct has become a proven territory.

Who You’ll Work With

You report directly to the CEO. Day to day, you’ll work with:

  • Our Head of Growth , your closest partner: you make what they test, they hand you back the numbers that write your next brief.
  • Our Art Director , guardian of the brand: together you hold the ridgeline between performance and premium.
  • Our Creator & Influence Lead , who drives creators and UGC: your performers, and part of your raw material.
  • Our Retention & LTV Lead , because a winning angle lives beyond the ad.
  • The editors, motion designers, and freelance creators you brief, direct, and level up.

You’re joining early: the creative system is being built now, and you’ll shape the team that runs it.

What You’ll Own

  • The angles that win : the message territories, hooks, and concepts that make women stop, recognize themselves, and act. Your starting material is never a creative trend: it’s what our customers say.
  • Intimate customer knowledge : reviews, verbatims, objections, the lived reality of menopause. You know her better than anyone, and every ad shows it.
  • The creative‑performance loop : you read what wins, understand why, and feed it into the next brief. Your metric is creative win rate, not asset count.
  • The concept engine : briefs, cadence, and the orchestration of editors, creators, and motion designers to ship volume without losing quality or compliance.
  • Native adaptation : static, video, UGC, advertorial; Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels. A strong idea gets translated, never photocopied.
  • Creative inside a health category : here, the regulatory constraint isn’t a brake, it’s a style. Ads that convert without a single claim out of line, and a premium brand that comes out of every campaign stronger.

What You’ll Do

  • Listen to the customer: reviews, comments, community, support tickets. That’s where angles are born.
  • Write: hooks, scripts, and briefs where the what, the why, the promise, and the proof fit on one page.
  • Get it made: brief editors, creators, and motion, hold the cadence, judge the cuts, call it fast.
  • Break down performance with the Head of Growth: what’s winning, what’s fatiguing, what we double, what we bury.
  • Run the creative testing roadmap: clear hypotheses every week, isolated variables, sharp verdicts.
  • Stay plugged in: platform shifts, the best brands’ ads, what’s moving in the category and in the lives of the women we serve.
  • Share with the CEO, every month, what creative has learned: what won, why, and what we try next.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years in creative strategy, performance creative, or creative direction in a high‑velocity DTC environment.
  • You’ve built and run a creative system that carried a step‑change in ad spend, not just produced ads.
  • Sharp command of what converts on Meta and TikTok: hooks, angles, native formats, UGC, advertorial.
  • You think insight before visual: you can say why an ad won, and you can reproduce it.
  • Numbers don’t scare you: a creative performance table is something you read, and it dictates your next brief.
  • Used to directing creators, editors, and freelancers at pace, not just producing solo.
  • A pen and an eye: you write a hook that stops the scroll, and you judge a cut at first glance.
  • AI is already part of how you create: ideation, variations, iteration. You produce more and think better.
  • Fluent French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health, wellness, supplements, or beauty: you know how to create fast inside strict claims constraints.
  • Real sensitivity to our customer: women past 45, menopause, what actually moves them.
  • Creator‑led and UGC‑driven creative at scale.
  • Direct‑response copywriting and advertorial writing.
  • Building a brand across multiple European markets.

What We Offer

  • A rare setup : profitable company, proven product‑market fit, a category in full acceleration, and a creative engine that’s yours to build. You’re our first dedicated creative hire: the seat grows as the company does. Direct line to the CEO and real weight in company‑level decisions.
  • Competitive package : aligned with your experience and your impact.
  • A culture of autonomy & accountability : senior people, high trust, full ownership of your scope. No micro‑management.
  • A menopause‑and‑women’s‑health‑friendly workplace : we build for women’s health, and we practice it internally.
  • Remote from day one : full‑time, remote (France/EU) or hybrid, with the freedom to work from wherever you do your best work. We care about output, not presence.
  • Flexible working hours : you own your schedule the way you own your results.
  • All the equipment you need : a top‑tier setup so nothing slows you down.
  • Two company retreats a year, plus at least one full‑team day every month : remote day to day, together when it counts.
  • Free üma products : for you and the women in your life: mothers, partners, sisters.
  • €500/year self‑care & growth budget : gym, dance class, books, courses: whatever makes you feel great and makes you grow.
  • Great health coverage : for EU‑based team members.

To apply

Send us, along with your background, the three ads you’re proudest of, and two lines on why they won. It’s the only test that really matters.

Brought the extraordinary: we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification listed above. Skills are built in many ways, and we’d rather meet you than miss you.

All our roles are open to people with disabilities.
